I am software engineer living in the Greater Boston Area. I absolutely love software development and am one of the few people who make a living doing what they like the most. Spending time in front of the computer tinkering with technology.
I currently work for Desktone - a startup in the Desktop virtualization space. Desktone in the business of writing a cloud based platform that enables service providers to host desktops in the cloud. I work in the platform team. And work with linux, Jboss, hibernate, spring, postgres and various hypervisors.
I previously worked for HP and am an expert at web application development in Java, PHP, Ruby on Rails and Groovy/Grails. In my day job there I worked with velocity, JSF, prototype/scriptaculous and Flex/Flash amongst other things. Earlier I was working for APPIQ a startup in the SRM space which got acquired by HP.
When I am not in front of the computer I am either spending time with family, reading, indulging in cricket or watching discovery channel. I also play cricket for and am the web master for New England Cricket Club.
